Irvine Branch Hosts 13th Fall History Class on November 17, 2020

On November 17, 2020, volunteers from the Irvine branch of AYLUS hosted its thirteenth introductory history class for the fall session. We held the lesson on Zoom, and students, consisting of elementary and middle schoolers, had a great time participating.

Today was the lesson on the end of the cold war. We talked about the civil rights movement and the resulting desegregation movements. Also, we talked about the cold war details, from the cuba crises and the vietnam war and finally the end of the cold war. Today our engagement was very good, and we had a lot of students asking questions and talking in the chat. We had a high level of participation and the kahoot went fairly well as usual. Overall this lesson was pretty good, and the students seemed to have a lot of fun.
