On September 19th, 2020, the New York Branch removed debris and litter from the Marshlands Conservancy in Rye, NY as part of International Coastal Cleanup Day. We removed plastic, styrofoam, and other pollutants that could endanger the local wildlife, as well as learning about the environment from the park workers. In total, we removed close to 109 pounds of refuse.
The volunteers that participated were Larry Tao, Jason Xia, Sarah Luo, Timothy Wang, Alice Wang, Sophie Luo, Allan Xu, Andy Xu, Chelsea Wang, Eric Liu, Andrew Luo, Kevin Xia, and Li Zhang.
