Columbus Branch Donated 31 Handmade Placemats for Meals on Wheels

On 8/5/2020, a total of 31 creative, colorful and cheerful placemats created by AYLUS-Columbus volunteers were delivered to the office of city of Dublin to be delivered to the recipients of the city’s Meals on Wheels program.
The Meal on Wheels deliveries are in place to help those who are 60 years of age or older, at risk of malnutrition and unable to come in to a Meals on Wheels People center for a meal. As seniors are more vulnerable in the COVID-19 pandemic with higher rate of severe cases and modality, this program has become of even greater importance.
These placements were beautifully handmade by volunteers including Rachel Zhu, Andrea Yu, Brenna Li, Catherine Harman, June Ni, Emma Yu, Aidan Li, Katie Lu, Nicole Lin, Joseph Lin, Patrick Wang, Erica Shen, and Angelika-Lili Susanto. The volunteers hope to bring joy and happiness to the recipient elderly and sick people.
