Because of the Covid-19 international pandemic, the Columbus AYLUS branch can no longer make its bi-weekly visits to Senior Star at the Dublin Retirement Village.
Although they can no longer perform in person, they still wished to share their music. Hoping to find another way for their music to reach them, the Columbus branch decided to create a video—a digital continuation of the long-running AYLUS: Music for You project.
From 6/10/2020 to 6/21/2020, branch members Nicole Lin, Andrew Xia, Gavin Ni, Joseph Lin, Sitan Gao, Rachel Zhu, Emma Yu, Dustin He, Andrea Yu, Brenna Li, Patrick Wang, Kevin Wang, Catherine Harman, Angelika-Lili Susanto, and Erica Shen filmed their musical performances at home.
The Columbus branch compiled the clips, and on 6/26/2020, sent the completed video to Senior Star. Rachel Zhu wrote the script for the introduction, she and Angelika-Lili Susanto filmed audio and video clips used throughout the introduction, and Erica Shen edited the video.
