Starting from June 1st, AYLUS volunteers are recruited to volunteer for Houston and Pearland Huaxia Chinese School math lessons. The 9 volunteers work for 3 math lessons including Geometry, Algebra I, and Pre-Algebra. In each lesson, two volunteers work 4 hours per week as grading TA, one volunteer works 1 hour per week as tutoring TA. The class will run two sessions, each session 4 weeks long. Volunteers work 8 weeks totally in June and July. It’s a big help to the math teacher by volunteers to do grading homework and quiz, and answer questions to students.
Volunteers in service include: Stephen Mao, Bryan Li, Stephen Wang, Aaron Wu, Baron Niu, Bidisha Halder, Iris Chen, and Enjia Wang.
