Sugar Land Branch Observes National Nature Photography Day

June 15 is National Nature Photography Day, designated by the North American Nature Photography Association. It aims to promote environmental conservation and awareness through photographically capturing the beauty of nature. In response to National Nature Photography Day, the Sugar Land Branch volunteered to photograph the stunning scenery of two local parks: Memorial Park and Brazos River Park.
Members photographed scenes of nature in both parks. In Memorial Park, the Butterfly Garden, where the Sugar Land Branch frequently volunteers, was the subject of many close-up photos. The Brazos River Park had a similar garden area of which members took several photos. Other images featured large landscapes of the parks themselves. The photos were sent to the City of Sugar Land for official promotional purposes to raise awareness and increase understanding of local areas for people throughout the city.
The participating members were Seth Gratz, Hunter Han, Tong Wang, Angela Wang, Serena Li, Emma Jiang, Amy Liu, Nicole Wu, Isabella Wu, and Albon Wu.
