AYLUS Pearland participated in the Friends of Foerster’s school supply drive during the Spring Break. Foerster Elementary school located in SW Houston serves an at-risk community where children unfortunately usually don’t have bare necessities to attend school. AYLUS Pearland called for a school supply donation to help the kids at Foerster Elementary school. The project was initiated by Andy Jiang and Andy Gu on March 8th. Donations came in quickly in less than a week from 13 AYLUS Pearland members, including Jayden Lu, Aaron Wu, Andy Jiang, Andy Gu, Justin Lenderman, Kate Liu, Tianrui Cheng, Eric Qi, Edward Qi, Catherine Bai, Sasha Kuzmenko, Richard Kumenko and Cordelia Li. Items donated included pens and pencils, art supplies, and storybooks for the students, along with toys for the family of the students. A total of 1800 items have been collected and delivered to the program manager.
