San Diego Branch organized 30th English for the Elderly activity on December 1st, 2019

On December 1st, 2019, San Diego students of AYLUS organized the 30th English for the Elderly activity. The goal of this activity is to help elderly men and women from China learn the basics of English so that they’re able to use them in their daily lives.

Through this activity, AYLUS volunteers were able to teach 9 elderly men and women common English phrases and sentences. Not only were the “students” able to improve their understanding of and ability to speak the English language, but the volunteers also improved their patience and confidence through this event.

The following students participated in the 30th English for the Elderly activity: Eric Lin, Emma Li, Kyne Xie, Jonathan Backues, Yufei Zhang, Haobin Cao, Jerry Wang, Ruiqi Ding, Katherine Huang and Michael Wang.
