Sugar Land Branch Performs Christmas Eve Concert

On December 24, members of AYLUS Sugar Land performed a Christmas Eve concert at a nursing home. The performers, who had rehearsed for a total of four hours over the span of the two days prior to the concert, played a variety of traditional Christmas carols and songs.

The participating members were: Daniel Trinh (trombone), Grace Trinh (clarinet), Simon Li (trumpet), Ethan Li (clarinet, piano), Emma Jiang (violin), Anna Lin (viola), and Albon Wu (violin). The performance started with a group ensemble performance, which segued into a solo performance of two carols by Ethan. The mixed ensemble then performed again, after which Albon performed three more carols. Finally, two duets between Anna and Emma as well as Emma and Albon were performed, with Emma closing off the concert. The concert was very well received; many seniors said later that they were very touched by the performances, some of whom even cried, citing the memories it brought back for them.

Thanks to the performers for making the concert such a success!
