Chapel Hill Branch Performed at Senior Living Center on September 28, 2019

On September 28, 2019, AYLUS visited Brookdale Meadowmont and had our usual bi-monthly concert. We have a new friend join us today and named Kevin. This time, we prepared many songs played by different instruments from east to west. At the beginning of the concert, piano and flute were performed first. The tuneful tweedle introduced everyone into a world of music. Then came the Ruan, a traditional instrument from China. With the dulcet cadence, an image of a splendid ancient city appeared inside people’s minds. From the lively market to the stately palace, the music gave the audience a vivid experience of eastern culture. During the sing-along section, we sang My Favorite Things and Que Sera Sera. The seniors seemed to really like these songs as they sang along enthusiastically, and we could see that they recalled their happiest time from the smiles on their faces. Along with myself(Peter), Kevin, Grace, Audrey, Rebecca, Mark, and Rukai came to perform. With these peaceful songs, we brought the seniors another warm and colorful night.
