On June 30th2019, members of AYLUS alongside Asian American Political Action Committee (AAPAC) and Chinese American Relief Effort (C.A.R.E) planted flags throughout the streets of Bellaire.
Volunteers began decorating the streets at 7:30 in the morning. Groups of three were created amongst the members to fill different parts of the area with our nation’s beautiful flag. Despite the mild rain that occurred throughout the morning, with everyone’s hard work and mass contribution after just three hours Bellaire Boulevard was fully embellished. Ultimately, the end result was truly rewarding to see and served as a great representation of America’s independence.
