San Diego Branch Organized 47th Computer for Kids Lab on October 5th, 2018

On October 5th, 2018, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized and participated in the 47th Computer for Kids Lab, repairing and cleaning electronic devices in order to prepare them to send to children of low-income families. This helps the kids achieve academic success through possible access to technology.

The participants did the following:

89 Monitors Tested & Cleaned Prepared for Distribution
12 Desktop Computers Blowout and Prepared for Hardware Testing

So far, the San Diego branch students have accomplished the following since the first Computer for Kids Lab of this year:

  • Diagnosed, repaired, tested, or sleeved 4,101 notebooks/netbooks/laptops/tablets/desktops
  • Tested and repaired 296 LCD monitors
  • Diagnosed, tested, wiped, counted, and cloned 3,344 hard drives
  • Wrapped, folded, sorted, and packed 9,709 mice/keyboards/power cords/adaptors/batteries
  • Tested and Bagged 125 Speakers

The following members participated:   Jonathan Backues, Chengda Li, Chengming Li, Tianhua LI,  Enke Luo, Enze Luo, Emily Wang, Kevin Wang, Michael Wang, Richard Wu, William Sun, Bill Xiao,  Kyne Xie, Eric Xu, and Nathan Yang.

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 47th Computer for Kids Lab.
