Columbus Branch Performed at Dublin Retirement Village on September 15, 2018

On Saturday, September 15th, Columbus AYLUS performed for the residents at Senior Star from 6-7:30. This week we welcomed a new member, pianist Catherine. Joseph, Nicole, and Michelle L. were on violin, Emma, Brenna, Andrea, Stanley, and Aidan were on piano, and Alice was on flute. Catherine, Emma, Andrea, and Brenna also performed a magic card trick as the end of each session.
Just as a reminder, all volunteers should ignore any disruptive behavior from the residents of the Memory Care ward. The students did a great job this week keeping their composure and continuing to play as usual, no matter what the audience may have said. Remember that any sudden comments from the audience were not made with due conscience and reason. Our purpose is to foster connections with the residents through music, but if that isn’t achieved, know that there’s nothing we can do other than perform our best and try again.
AYLUS is volunteering again on Saturday, September 29th.
