San Diego Branch Organized 39th Computer for Kids Lab on August 24th, 2018

On August 24th, 2018, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized and participated in the 39th Computer for Kids Lab, repairing and cleaning electronic devices in order to prepare them to send to children of low-income families. This helps the kids achieve academic success through possible access to technology.

In two hours, the participants did the following:

  • 270 Computers Prepped for Distribution – Hard Drives & RAM Checked

So far, the San Diego branch students have accomplished the following since the first Computer for Kids Lab started:

  • Diagnosed, repaired, tested, or sleeved 3,735notebooks/netbooks/laptops/tablets/desktops
  • Tested and repaired 141 LCD monitors
  • Diagnosed, tested, wiped, counted, and cloned 3,192 hard drives
  • Wrapped/folded, sorted, and packed 7,704 mice, and power cords/adaptors
  • Tested and Bagged 125 Speakers

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 39th Computer for Kids Lab.
