San Diego Students of AYLUS Held 31st STEAM Challenge Camp on July 22, 2018

On July 22, 2018, San Diego students of AYLUS held the 31st STEAM Challenge Camp. Today’s leadership session was a talk by Mr. Mingxi Fan, who is the father of a current member of the AYLUS San Diego Branch. He gave an interesting and motivational speech about what it means to be a leader, and how we should all strive to be the best leaders we can be. He introduced a handy acronym LEAD:

  • Loyalty to higher purpose and principles
  • Enlightenment from sustained position
  • Aspiration to the success of team and people
  • Discipline to produce high performance with consistency

Classes taught: Chess Strategy, Rubiks Cubing, Chinese, English, Math, Intro to Violin, Speech Skills, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math.

The following students participated in the 29th STEAM Challenge Camp: Mike Bai, Claire Guo, Victor Ku, Andric Li, Daniel Li, Raymond Li, Samuel Li, Michael Ma, Andrew Peng, Joshua Trost, Richard Wu, Samuel Xiong, Eric Xu, Jason Xu, Richard Xu, Ricky Xu, Ryan Xu, Andrew Zhang, Lucas Zhou, Lucy Zhou, Alan Zhu, and Brian Zhu.

The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 31st STEAM Challenge Camp.
