Chapel Hill Branch Held First Concert at Meadowmont Senior Living Center

On September 16, 2017, 10 student members of our volunteer group came to Brookdale Meadowmont Senior Living Solutions for the first performance. Before the show started, Tian (Mark) gave a brief introduction about this group. Its purpose is to contribute to the community with a focus on bringing joy to the elderly. The members who came were Mark, Grace, and Caroline who played the piano, Jiarong on the Hu Lu Si, Christina playing the clarinet, and Selena on the flute. Even though Caroline is only a middle school student, she played well beyond her age. In addition to the musical instruments, Erin’s Hip-Hop dancing was the crowd favorite. While the concert continued, Ben, Wen and Peter planned future activities. It was a great start for us as a new group. Both the seniors and us look forward to our future performances.
