On October 21st, 2017, AYLUS Pearland volunteered at St. Andrew’s annual Pumpkin Patch Event.

St. Andrew’s pumpkin patch is one of the largest in the country. Every year, St. Andrews invites the Pearland community to come out to buy pumpkins, gourds, and carving kits, and also to come take pictures with their massive collection of pumpkins.

For more than two and half hours, our volunteers helped unload, distribute, and sort a trailer truckload of pumpkins. The activity, though strenuous, was exciting and rewarding; we were able to chat with other church-going volunteers and learn more about St. Andrew’s annual pumpkin patch festival. All together, AYLUS and the other volunteers who participated unloaded a total of 22 tons of pumpkins. Thank you all for coming and helping out!

AYLUS volunteers: Kevin Chen, Han Lu, Luxin Peng, Caleb Ci, Kevin Song, Andy Jiang, Jerry Gu, Jin Wang, Ethan Chen, Terry Guo, Micah Yang, Ray Huang, Richard Hong, Stephen Hong, Thomas Feng.
