AYLUS Students Volunterred in the San Diego DeafFestival 2017 to Celebrate 200 Years of ASL on October 7, 2017

San Diego students of AYLUS served as volunteers in the San Diego DeafFestival 2017 on Saturday, October 7, 2017 to celebrate 200 Years of the American Sign Language and to bring the Deaf and the Hearing communities together. The students arrived at 7:30AM to set up all the canopies of the DeafFestival.

This year’s DeafFestival was a huge success: 1,968 people attended, the most ever in DCS history. Spectacular entertainers performed, vendors provided information and resources, and a wide variety of activities were provided for all ages!

The students who volunteered at the event are: Leonard Fan, Mike Wang, Andrew Peng, Lynne Xu, Christopher Yang, Stephen Yang, and Brian Zhu.
