The Description of East Nassau Branch
We are a group of students from East Nassau, NY. Our mission and objective are to create opportunities for its members to develop leadership skills, build characters, and provide service to schools and communities on Long Island area of NY.
We all share a common character-an avid reading habit. Thus, our primary project objective is to make a better environment to read for all with our own effort. In the past, we have successfully completed an event named “Road to Freedom”, a book drive donation aimed to provide English instruction to those in need. We were extremely satisfied with our results when we noticed the big smiles of every child who walk away with books. As a tradition for our branch, we set a goal of running an annual supply drive for any citizens in need. Also, we aim to establish a working relationship with community leaders and local nonprofit institutions.
The East Nassau Branch welcomes all interested students living in the Long Island area!
