On December 1st, Columbus branch volunteered (5 student volunteers and 2 advisors and 2 parents) to work with the City of Dublin (Sarah Esala Dublin City OUtreach and Engagement) to help the city understand from a volunteer group and volunteers point of view, how to further Improve the city’s efforts in coordinating city volunteering events.
They also discussed why they volunteer and joined AYLUS, types of volunteer opportunities with City of Dublin and events they particularly enjoyed, and proper volunteer etiquette like being at the event on time or contacting organizers if there’s a conflict. AYLUS members also did a couple activities regarding how to choose what event volunteers should sign up for.
