Like previous weeks, this week’s session expanded on the content of previous weeks, expanding upon prior, simpler rhythms and notes to steadily build technique.

On May 26, the Sugar Land Branch continued maintaining the Memorial Park Butterfly Garden. Members pulled weeds, removed dried branches, and cleared areas around plants to give them space to grow. By now, the previously planted trees had started blooming, as shown below. The participating members were: Serena Li, Yijia Jiang, and Albon Wu.

On May 18, the Sugar Land Branch continued its music tutoring project. Similar to the previous week, this week’s lesson emphasized music theory and reading printed music. The knowledge from previous weeks was built upon in this week’s session, which wrapped up the principles of elementary music theory and fundamental violin technique.
