On November 26th 2021, AYLUS Scottsdale donated to the Brave of Righteousness Scholarship in response to the events that happened on November 17th on a Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, where Christina Lu, a high school senior, defended a younger Asian American group of children against bullies. As a response to the attack, Christina’s family started a GoFundMe campaign, with the goal of protecting the general public against similar attacks.
Additionally, National AYLUS initiated a scholarship fund named AYLUS Brave for Righteous Scholarship to help her recover soon. 7 Members and families of AYLUS Scottsdale participated in this event by donating $105 totally, including but not limited to:
Andrew Yang (1 hr), William Chu(1 hr), Alex Zou(1 hr), Logan Zhao (1 hr), Shaw Hu (1 hr), Laura Wang(1 hr), Bridget Chen(1 hr).
