Greater Princeton AYLUS Honors Firefighter Heroes (11th) in Hamilton Marking the 20th Anniversary of 9/11

The 20th anniversary of 9/11 is coming. The terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Americans host commemorative events at all three sites on the anniversary of the attacks.

Firefighters and their families sacrifice a lot to save lives, who deserve our honor and respect, especially at this memorial moment. In September, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued an event called “Meals from the Heart”. GPA members honor our firefighter heroes in our community in our unique way.

On September 11th, GPA members Sarah Yan (4 hrs), Erick Yan (4 hrs) organized a “Meal from the Heart” event for local firefighters. GPA members (1 hr for all), including Sophia Feng, Michael Feng, Xuejing Liu, and ShaoLei Feng, joined the organizers for the event, delivering the meals to the Nottingham Fire Station (200 Mercer St., Hamilton, NJ 08690).

GPA members also spent a moment of silence along with the firefighters to remember those we lost 20 years ago and thereafter.

More donation events are coming in September throughout the state of New Jersey!
