On July 24th, 2021, AYLUS Scottsdale participated in a “Christmas in July” Food Drive event at Holiday Inn. At the event, AYLUS Scottsdale members and leadership helped give different food and drink donations to the Willow Wish food drive as a way to help the Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank, Paz de Cristo Outreach Center, and South Phoenix Healthy Starts foundations to help homeless and food-needing people in Maricopa County. Members helped donate the following items, including but are not limited to Canned Meat, Peanut Butter, Cereal, Whole Grain Pasta and Rice, Canned Beans and Soup, Vegetables, and were given a goody-bag as appreciation in return from Willow Wish. The members that participated in the event were: Andrew Yang (2 hrs), Shaw Hu (2 hrs), Laura Wang (2 hrs), Leona Wang (2 hrs), Logan Zhao (2 hrs), Alex Zou (1 hr), Bridget Chen(1 hr).
