During the pandemic, there was a need for senior citizens to get groceries and food while not exposing themselves to the outside world. The world’s population mostly has experienced this form of self-quarantine and knows about some form of this isolation. Therefore, it was easy to emphasize with these seniors and give them the care they needed to pull through these tough times. Two members of Manhasset AYLUS, Matthew and Benjamin yang (5 hours) organized this event. Every week we could go to their homes directly and give them a week’s worth of food, which they picked themselves through social media and conversation.
As mentioned above, two Manhasset AYLUS members participated in this food drive:
Matthew Yang (8 hours), and Benjamin yang (8 hours).
