The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) students continue their Bilingual Tutoring Program in March. The program allows GPA members to provide reading, writing, speaking, math, and communication to their students across the country.
They had conversations over various video calling platforms, such as Zoom or Facetime, with students about topics they are interested in, such as movies, games, and school. Their bilingual tutoring activities included:
GPA member Catherine Feng managed this bilingual tutoring program (4/4, 2 hrs).
Elizabeth Jia prepared her lesson and taught her students English through reading comprehension for two hours on Saturday, 4/3.
Anthony F Yang taught his 9-year-old student reading and writing for 2 hours on Sunday, 4/4, teaching from 5:30 – 6:15 pm and preparing class materials and lesson plans for 45 minutes.
Zilu Cheng taught her 8-year-old student math for 1 hour on Saturday, 4/3.
Yan Fischer (4/4, 1 hr) tutored kids reading and writing.
Abigail Bao (4/2, 2 hrs; 4/4, 2 hrs) and Angela Bao (4/2, 2 hrs; 4/4, 2 hrs) taught a few students in the subjects of English reading and writing, focusing on story-telling.
Allen Zhang taught his student in New York for 3 hours on 4/6.
