Raritan Valley Branch Conducted Color-A-Smile Event from Dec. 18, 2020 through Jan. 3, 2021

The long-lasting COVID-19 poses great threat to human beings not only physically but also mentally. Hoping to help ease the stress and anxiety among people, volunteers at the Raritan Valley Branch decided to spread some cheer during their winter break. They were excited to come across the website of Color A Smile, a nonprofit organization that “distributes cheerful drawings to senior citizens, troops overseas, and anyone in need of a smile”. Color A Smile collects colored drawings all year round and mail the drawings out every month to people on their mailing list. Our volunteers utilized their artistic talents coloring in drawings of Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Springtime, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day, wishing to bring joy and smiles to someone throughout 2021. Picturing the smiles put on people’s faces because of our help brings happiness to our hearts.

Volunteers: Benjamin Hong (12/26/2020, 2 hrs), Dalina Cao (1/3/2021, 2 hrs), Jessica Hong (12/26/2020, 2 hrs)
