East Cobb Branch Cut Films for Face Shield at Marietta Maker Station IX

On December 6th, 2020, the East Cobb Branch went to laser cut plastic for use in face shields from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Today we did not have too much material left over from the previous time we had cut, so we decided to go and cut face shields in batches of 4 rather than 2. This would build up some ready to use material for next time and allow us to cut at a faster rate than if we had started cutting last time’s sheets that could only have 2 on them. We managed to cut over 200 face shields today, the most we had ever cut in a single day. We also finished the day with a heavy stack of 2 sheets which we could use next week.
