On December 1, 2020, volunteers from the Irvine branch of AYLUS hosted its fourteenth introductory history class for the fall session. We held the lesson on Zoom, and students, consisting of elementary and middle schoolers, had a great time participating.
Today was the last full content lesson and was the modern era. The topics were mostly modern politics and presidents, and covered most issues up to today, including wars and political acts. The content was a bit difficult but was manageable. Students engaged and asked questions during class and were doing their work. The topics were a bit difficult since modern era is a bit confusing, but the students seemed to be able to grasp it.
