Towson Branch Member Kelly Chen hosted 5 Online Chemistry Classes in October. Eight students took these classes weekly throughout this month. The feedback has been very positive. Students like my teaching as they benefit a lot from these classes. All the feedback has made my effort very meaningful, especially in the pandemic.
Lesson 2 (October 2) covers atomic structure which includes topics like protons, neutrons, quantum numbers.
Lesson 3 (October 9) covers topics like orbitals, electron configurations, and various rules like Hund’s Rule.
Lesson 4 (October 16) covers topics like light energy and wave properties.
Lesson 5 (October 23) covers math and equations regarding wavelength and frequency.
Lesson 6 (October 30) covers various bonds such as ionic, covalent, and metallic bonding.
Participants: Kelly Chen (2.5 hr/lesson for lessons 2-4 and 3 hr/lesson for lessons 5-6. Total hours for October: 13.5 hrs.)
