On December 21, 2019, 18 members of East Cobb Young Musicians performed at Arbor Terrace, Alto, and the Solana for 3.5 hours.
At Arbor Terrace, the members received a warm welcome from the seniors. The seniors watched performances such as a cheerful holiday violin duet by Cynthia and Eugene, various piano pieces, a dance performance, and many more. All the performers also sang two holiday songs and invited the seniors to sing with them. At the end, handmade holiday cards were handed out to the senior citizens to celebrate this joyful season.
At Alto, the musicians continued to have amazing performances. Everyone enjoyed the performance, and holiday cards were also given out to the seniors.
The last location was the Solana. The seniors were excited to see the performances. Many were smiling and enjoying the music. Holiday cards were also passed out to them, and some seniors even went out of their way to express their thoughts on the performance.
The members were delighted to be able to perform for such an amazing audience. The performers worked hard on their pieces, and were happy to be able to share their love of music with the seniors, especially during the holidays.
