Silver Light Senior Center Annual Performance 10/03/2026

The McLean AYLUS Branch volunteered at Silver Light Senior Center and assisted with the setup and preparation for the center’s annual performance. This activity took place on 10/03/2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Helping at senior centers is a meaningful way to support older adults and strengthen connections within the community. During this activity, volunteers assisted with preparing the performance space and making sure everything was ready for the annual event. We also provided support to seniors with limited mobility, including guiding them to the bathrooms and helping them navigate the center safely. By assisting with both the event preparation and the seniors’ individual needs, volunteers helped create a welcoming and accessible environment where everyone could participate comfortably. These experiences also remind us of the importance of patience, attentiveness, and kindness when supporting members of our community. Through hands-on service, volunteers can contribute to meaningful community events while building connections with older adults and helping them feel supported and included.

The following members contributed to this service: Lexin Zhu (2 hours) and Hanna Ni (2 hours).
