On Sunday 9/20 between the times of 1pm to 3pm, the AYLUS Roslyn branch helped in creating KFIP bags and caring cards for people in need. Our goal was to decorate these items so people could feel more joy and warmth when they receive them.
During the start, we learned that we were making KFIP bags for people who needed food and caring cards for nursing homes. Our materials were later given and we had our opportunity to be creative and decorate these bags and cards to make others happier.
We decorated these bags and caring cards in hope to bring a simple smile to the person receiving what we have created for them. As we continue to decorate these bags and write heartfelt messages on these cards, we realize that art is something you are supposed to share with others. The drawings and messages we make can make another smile through their gloomy day and even though it is a small task for us, it’s a big meaning for them. We all worked fabulously throughout the 2 hours we had, making sure to place our emotions into each bag we decorated and each card we wrote on.
