On the 24rd of September, 2026, AYLUS Lake Washington members Yufei Ye and Arjun Rammohan volunteered at Lower Evan’s Creek Preserve Water Tank Mural Painting event with the City of Sammamish. They helped paint additional features onto the water tank such as trees and grasses in order to make the tank seem less prominent in its surrounding environment. The volunteers felt that it was a great experience that enriched their understanding about collaboration in art, painting skills, attention to detail, understanding of shading and lighting, and making pieces to appreciate local natural landscapes. They volunteered for 2.5 hours, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
