On September 12th, 2026, members of the Syosset AYLUS organization joined LINPI (Long Island Native Plant Initiative) for the Fall Plant Sale & Environmental Fair, helping customers stock up on beautiful Long Island ecotypic native plants while supporting the region’s biodiversity. Volunteers helped pull carts to customers’ cars, making sure each person had a great experience and that carts were returned safely and neatly for the next shopper. The group also drew welcoming murals featuring the LINPI name to greet visitors as they arrived, adding a bright, festive touch to the event. Volunteers additionally kept the plant displays organized and ready to buy, helping the sale run smoothly for everyone. Through their efforts, the team helped LINPI connect the community with native plants and continue its mission of protecting Long Island’s biodiversity.
