Aylus Twin Cities Branch: Summer Workshop Chinese/Art/Math Session 8 (08/15/2026)

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, the AYLUS Twin Cities Branch successfully concluded Session 8, the final session of our free Chinese, Art & Math Summer Workshop, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Excelsior Library Meeting Room (337 Water Street, Excelsior, MN 55331).

In Chinese, students learned the traditional folktale The Legend of the White Snake, practicing key vocabulary and sentence patterns through a word-search activity and pinyin exercises. In Art, students drew cartoon and video game characters or created illustrations inspired by the story. In Math, students completed activities focusing on mathematical thinking as well as three-digit addition with regrouping and subtraction with borrowing.

Students were engaged and enthusiastic throughout the final session. Over the eight-week program, our student volunteers gained valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and organizing educational activities while providing younger students with opportunities to learn, create, and have fun.
