On August 1st, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at 5 Old Jericho Turnpike, Jericho, members of the AYLUS Syosset branch joined a garden service activity. During the event, the main group helped set up a new tarp alongside the people in charge, carefully arranging it to protect the garden beds. Another group replanted plants from their pots into the ground, positioning them thoughtfully throughout the garden space. Members also cut back the weeds along the path to keep the walkways clear and tidy, watered the plants to ensure they were well-hydrated, and helped with maintenance on the bird feeder. Throughout the afternoon, everyone worked together with focus and care. This activity was a fun and meaningful experience that allowed us to make a real difference in the community. We learned more about gardening and landscape maintenance, enjoyed working alongside one another, and helped make the garden look cleaner, more organized, and more beautiful for visitors to enjoy.
