On August 1, volunteers gathered at Ed Thompson Inclusive Park to support the monthly My PlayClub program, creating a fun and welcoming environment for children with special needs and their families.
This month’s event was especially exciting as we welcomed a volunteer from our partner—McGovern Medical School—who joined us for the activities. Together, we interacted with the children through games, arts and crafts, balloon twisting, and other engaging activities, helping every participant feel included and encouraged.
The collaboration between the medical student and us brought extra energy and compassion to the event. She not only shared her enthusiasm but also gained valuable experience communicating with children with diverse needs and supporting inclusive community programs.
We look forward to continuing its partnership with McGovern Medical School and working together to make an even greater positive impact in the community.
