AYLUS Syosset Branch Volunteers at CCE Nassau Farmer’s Market (8/1/2026)

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, members of AYLUS volunteered at the weekly CCE Nassau Farmers Market at Eisenhower Park Field 8. Many volunteers showed up to support the market, help attendees, and work with Jennifer throughout the day. There were three shifts, and a maximum of four members, for each shift. The first group taking the morning shift worked from 7:30-11:00am, helping Jennifer set up tents, tables, and chairs. Furthermore, the morning shift opened the market to the public at 9:00am, assisting attendees with holding items, working at the activity table, and handing out punch cards to community members. The second shift came in to support the morning volunteers, supporting vendors and attendees of the market. The last shift worked very hard to clean up and help Jen put away tents, flags, posters, tables, and chairs.

Over the duration of the market, our volunteers did an amazing job attracting kids to the activity table, coloring, playing soccer, and participating in tug of war. The front table did a great job keeping count of the attendees, organizing the market, guiding attendees, and punching cards. Our floating volunteers did a great job carrying items for community members and taking kids to the activity table.
