On Thursday, July 30th, the Great Neck AYLUS Branch hosted yet another successful tutoring session at the Great Neck Station library. Starting off, Brian Zhang played a couple games of chess with a student, reviewing strategies like the Scholar’s Mate and more. Next, Olivia Kang solved Pre-Algebra math problems with her designated child, reviewing percentages and simplification. Similarly, Junlin Yu aided a student with Pre-Algebra and AMC-8 problems, assisting when needed. Next, focusing on reading fluidity and English improvement, Linzi Yeung read a couple of basic-level books with her student. Finally, Lucy Ding supervised a younger child, playing and participating in activities with her around the library’s children area. The session was entertaining and productive, with all tutors being able to attend to a tutee. The next session will be on August 4th.
