On July 26, 2026, the AYLUS Great Neck Branch returned to Kings Point Park to continue enhancing and maintaining the park’s walking trails. Although the weather was hot and the mosquitoes were relentless, volunteers remained committed to improving the trails for everyone in the community.
During the event, members spread and leveled mulch, removed large wood chips that created obstacles along the paths, and covered tire tracks left by maintenance vehicles. These improvements help provide a safer and more comfortable experience for both park staff and visitors. By working together on this project, volunteers continued to make a positive impact on the local community while demonstrating AYLUS’s commitment to service, teamwork, and environmental stewardship.
