On June 27 2026, Murrieta AYLUS was invited to help with the Outreach Farm Project -Pumpkin planting.
Members arrived before 8am to avoid the heat, they were given a quick demonstration on how to plant the pumpkin seeds, how far apart each seed would be planted, and how to protect the seeds from getting damaged. Then, members separated to work in groups of 2, and each group had their own row to plant. Each row also had different pumpkin seeds planted so there would be a variety of pumpkins to harvest later. Members are excited for the pumpkins to grow and to come harvest them in October!
After finishing the planting, members helped remove weeds around the vegetable packing station.
