AYLUS Roslyn helps out at a School of CCA of Long Island (108th) on June 7th, 2026

On Sunday June 7th, 2026, the Roslyn AYLUS Branch served as teaching aides at the Chinese Cultural Association of Long Island (CCALI) Chinese School. The final day concluded its academic year with a cheerful and touching end of the year celebration. Hosted at the school’s usual campus, students, families, and teachers all gathered to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of the students.

The main highlight of the event was the graduation ceremony, where students of all ages were honored and recognized for their progress in learning the Chinese language and engaging with cultural traditions throughout the year. From beginner learners to those completing their final level, every child was awarded a certificate and received enthusiastic applause for their commitment. Along with the graduation, families and students enjoyed watching various performances given by their fellow peers such as dancing, performing Chinese yo-yo, as well as singing Chinese songs. The performances showcased not only the talents of the students but also the lively culture that CCALI strives to maintain and promote.

This end of the year celebration highlights how cultural education can be engaging and significant. As the academic year comes to an end, the CCALI community eagerly waits for another year filled with language acquisition, cultural exchange, and shared traditions.
