AYLUS Syosset Volunteer Activity at Sunrise Planting Day 5/31/2026

On the sunny morning of May 31st 2026, our members and the former president of the AYLUS Syosset Branch Alyssa Huang also joined,  arrived at the Wheatley Heights campgrounds ready to work. Our day was filled with meaningful hands-on activities:

  • Flower Donation: To contribute to the campsite’s transformation, we participated in the camp’s new initiative this year and donated 5 flats of flowers through their partner, Daisy’s Flower Shoppe in Hauppauge. The plants were delivered directly to the camp that morning, fresh and ready for the soil.

  • Beautification & Planting: After checking in, we gathered our gardening tools and headed out to the assigned areas. Together as a family, we spent the morning loosening the soil, digging, planting our 5 flats of vibrant flowers.

  • Community Collaboration: The atmosphere was incredible. We worked alongside numerous volunteer families, the event chairs (the Henick, Kristal, Ramin, and Razewski families), and dedicated camp supporters. The shared energy and teamwork truly highlighted the strength of the Sunrise community.
