The AYLUS Morris Branch proudly partnered with the local United Methodist Church to support families in need within the community. Through the dedication of student volunteers and the generosity of local residents, members collected over 25 pounds of canned goods, dry food, and other non-perishable food items from neighborhoods to help fight hunger in the local community.
AYLUS members organized the donation drive by reaching out to neighbors and encouraging families to contribute essential food supplies such as canned vegetables, pasta, rice, cereal, soup, and other shelf-stable items. The collected donations were carefully sorted and distributed to the collection site on the afternoon of May 25 at 5:00 PM.
This community service project demonstrated the compassion, teamwork, and leadership of AYLUS volunteers. By partnering with the local church, the Morris Branch was able to directly support hunger relief efforts for individuals and families facing food insecurity.
The AYLUS Morris Branch sincerely thanks everyone who donated and supported the drive. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps bring hope and assistance to neighbors in need while strengthening the spirit of community service and kindness.
