On a sunny Friday, Jaden Chen and Yucheng Fu enjoyed a delightful time pushing the kids up and down on the newly constructed swings. Four or five kids lay on a woven cradle, the volunteers jumped to match the height of the wings and pushed it effectively so the kids could fully take advantage of the park’s newly built infrastructure. Amber Zhou came and chatted with Jack in the playground area. The volunteers shared a meaningful time with Jack and other kids. In addition to the swings and tag in the playground area, volunteers played table tennis, badminton, and catch. The volunteers believe through these meaningful activities, they can get the kids to socialize, play with each other, and enjoy the warmth of the Great Neck community.
