On April 26, 2026, our branch members conducted a cleanup of our adopted street, spanning from the Whole Foods Plaza to McCrimmon Parkway on 12:00 p.m.
This event aimed to enhance local cleanliness while promoting volunteer community involvement and environmental responsibility. Volunteers came equipped with gloves, garbage bags, and litter pickers to ensure a safe and effective cleaning process. Due to a nearby construction project, large amounts of garbage—including plastic bottles, bags, and wrapping paper—were easily found along the sidewalk, posing a serious hazard to both people and pets in the community. We even found broken glass bottles in the grass, and it took time to pick them up piece by piece.
We collected several bags of garbage, and it was rewarding to see our adopted street restored to a spotless condition.
