On April 16th, Great Neck AYLUS hosted another successful tutoring session at the Great Neck Library Station Branch from 6:00-7:00 pm. Junlin assisted a 4th-grade student with basic arithmetic operations. Still, there were key points to the problems that simplified the questions and made them easier to complete. Brian helped a 6th-grade student calculate the area, perimeter, and volume of various shapes, including parallelograms, hexagons, and others. Summer helped another student with biology and adaptation, discussing the differences between behavioral and structural adaptation and exploring them in more detail. Lucy helped a student with essential English Language basics, ranging from word spellings and definitions to actually writing a complete paragraph. And lastly, Linzi helped with the spelling of multiple important words and basic mathematics, including addition and subtraction. Overall it was another successful tutoring session, as everyone completed their homework on time and efficiently.
