On Saturday April 3rd , 2026, from 9 am to 12pm, members of the AYLUS Roslyn Branch volunteered at NOSH Delivers!, a nonprofit organization that provides free meals to local families in need. When we arrived, the friendly staff greeted us and gave us instructions for the day. We started off by getting the delivery bags ready for people to pick up. After that, we started sorting the food from donations. The sorting was tedious because some of the snacks were expired or broken. We were able to sort them into three boxes. People also helped out shoppers or helped collapse some boxes. Overall, this is a rewarding experience knowing that every volunteer serves an important role in the food pantry as we help serve hundreds of families in need daily. They will enjoy fresh and healthy food that we helped put together.
