AYLUS North Hollywood Volunteers at Tree People’s Revitalization Event | March 14, 2026

Activity & Impact

On Saturday, March 14, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, four members of the AYLUS North Hollywood branch volunteered at TreePeople’s Revitalization event at TreePeople Park. This was a memorable event, as it was the branch’s inaugural volunteering event in October of 2024. Our members mainly weeded invasive plants, evened out park stair steps, or regraded the slopes, and performed general path and trail maintenance.

TreePeople receives no public funding, and their budget is only able to sustain the wages of three park workers on their 5.5-acre green space, so volunteer work is essential for park maintenance. Founded 50 years ago by a teenager, the organization inspires united community work in an effort to create a more climate-resilient Southern California.
